Our Story

Founded in 2017 by Directors, Becky Wright, Alex Roland, and Marsha Cox, Love Community (C.I.C) was established in response to a collective aspiration to create innovative, sustainable projects that make a lasting impact upon people and communities. The aim is that as Love Community grows, we will establish a network or projects and initiatives – across Somerset, Devon and beyond – that will make a meaningful positive impact upon the lives of everyone we work with, long into the future.

Our Team

We are a close knit team of professionals and social entrepreneurs, with extensive knowledge from across voluntary and commercial sectors.

Director

Becky Wright

A Co-founder of Love Community, Becky is an award-winning Mental Health Trainer, retired Psychotherapist, and Founder and Creative Director of 'New Leaf Life Design'. She is also a Distiller at 'Dryad Gin'.

Becky helped launch Love Community in response to seeing too many short-lived projects, wanting instead to develop more sustainable models to combine business and 'profit -for-purpose'. She is passionate about bringing communities together, through "Pop-Up" projects such as 'The Dryad Inn' and 'Farmerados' a public living room at Farmers Markets. She actively engages in supporting a greener environment, with a belief that there must always be a direct connection between her work and the surrounding environment.

Director

Sophie Toor

Sophie Toor brings over 15 years of healthcare leadership and clinical expertise to Love Community CIC. As Director of Respiratory Matters Ltd, she has delivered nationally commissioned education and consultancy programmes focused on asthma, COPD and spirometry, supporting healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes across the UK.

She has developed accredited Level 4 diploma programmes, achieved external quality assurance recognition, and led large-scale service improvement projects including paediatric asthma risk stratification and COPD case-finding initiatives. Alongside her strategic work, Sophie maintains an active clinical role in general practice, ensuring her leadership remains grounded in real-world patient care.

At Love Community CIC, Sophie contributes strong governance experience, evidence-led thinking and a compassionate, practical approach to strengthening community wellbeing

Director

Alex Roland

Alex has worked in social care since 2002, and as a self-employed support worker since 2012 when he launched 'Your IT Now', helping people with Neurodiversity get the most from the internet and technology.

Alex Co-founded Love Community to realise communities projects that combine his interests in video games, social media and enabling access to technology. He always has some interesting projects on the go and currently heads up “ANVG” (Association for Neurodiversity in Video Games) where he helps spread the message of inclusion in the games industry.

Alex also regularly delivers training  for individuals and organisations around Internet and social media safety, as well as courses around sex and relationships.

Director

Sarah Adams

Sarah joined Love Community in 2025, bringing a depth of lived experience and professional insight that enriches everything she does. Her journey began working in men’s fashion and women’s footwear. In 2008, she felt the call for a new direction and embraced a complete career change to focus on people and wellbeing.

Sarah developed a deep understanding of peoples life challenges and since qualifying as a therapist in 2011, has compassionately supported clients helping them explore who they are and how they want to grow. She joined New Leaf Life Design in 2016 to deliver the EAP counselling service to local businesses. Her work today blends counselling, EMDR and coaching, particularly with neurodivergent clients, where her natural empathy and curiosity allow people to feel truly seen and supported.
